I'm seeing some good deals on the Selphy CP800/CP810 at the moment - probably because Canon don't officially support either for Win8.1.

Are there ant TPers using these models on Win8.1? - I've found quite a few reports that the Win7 drivers installed in compatibility mode work ok as long as you stay in sRGB.

I'm just looking for a decent quality small-format printer that will encourage me to print a few images as I go along, between big batches I save up to send off to DSCL.

Thank you.. .

I have a CP710 and use Win8 but haven't yet plugged the printer into the computer to see if they can communicate. I tend to either stick the SD card (NOT SDHC, the 710 can't read them!) n the printer's card slot or connect the camera using PictBridge.

Thanks Nod. It works ok with your X-Pro1 using Pictbridge?

Haven't tried with that yet - barely used the X-Pro so far for assorted reasons. Weather and dentistry! Will give it a try and report back...

Dentistry.. you have my sympathy :(

I've taken the plunge on the CP800, £40 for refurb with warranty - couldn't let that slip away. You helped me realise that whether or not it connected to my Win8.1 machines I could always use a memory stick/card to transfer if I wasn't printing JPGs direct from the X-Pro1/SD card. I also have a back-up Win7 laptop available anyway.

The X-Pro1 will PictBridge with the Selphy 710 and small SD cards from the camera also print fine when plugged into the printer. I haven't tried plugging the printer into a Win8 computer yet and probably won't bother since the other methods work fine! People will just have to be satisfied with my photos as postcards without personalised captions on the image!!! When you buy paper packs, it's worth getting the postcard ones if you intend posting them - the paper's thicker and the back of the card is pre-printed as a postcard.

Thanks Nod.
