Has anyone used this? How does the focus speed compare to other canon lens?

Can’t answer your question sorry but would also be interested to hear from anyone who uses this lens for macro and insect close ups
I did consider getting this lens when the focus packed up on my my EF 100L but reading reviews one or two people mentioned that the RF 100 as a factor of its design as it can focus closer than the EF version, does has a degree of focus shift, this put me off
but wasn’t able to find anything definitive as nobody I know has the RF version
In the end I got my EF lens repaired

What is the problem with focus shift?

The review that I read stated that at 1:1 distances the actual point of focus is slightly away from the subject (towards infinity ) after autofocus conformation
I can’t remember the actual review unfortunately and haven’t been able to find much else on the subject or a more recent review
Sorry to be vague but thought that it was worth mentioning as it was enough to put me off as the majority of my insect photography is at 1:1 or close up
