Yes
just picked up my new toy. Very happy with it so far. however I need a couple of colours for it. i'd rather run canon inks, but which other alternative inks are recommended? you can get inks off ebay for pennies, but I don't want to ruin the heads or lower the quality. Also while i'm starting a thread. has anyone had results printing on canvas?

thanks in advance

I have had mine for some time, but have only used Canon inks in it i don't think i would use cheap ones from e.bay :)

i have a 9000 mk2 and use Lyson inks in a fotorite CISS works well for me - using Marrutt papers

I have the 9500 Mk II (so slightly different I know), it has handled Canvases OK. I think it was a hahnemule canvas kit I used, came with wood, glue, and canvas

I Will get a cis at some point.

I'll have a look at those canvas kits Thanks

i have the older s9000 and it prints to canvas fine
the biggest problem with the s9000 and canvas is the length of canvas the width of a3+ is fine but if i tried to print a length of approx above 2 feet it would skew slightly but smaller lengths would be fine
another issue is actually feeding the canvas into the printer the s9000 doesn't have a straight feed through so feeding it through the normal paper path was a bit tricky but once the rollers got a grip it was fine
the biggest i could get away with was about 13" X 17" which once wrapped around a 12" + 16" half inch 1 and a half inch frame turned out well

rather than buying canvas kits i bought a role from here and cut it to the required size

they also advertise on ebay

keep in mind that the s9000 uses dye based inks and i think the later s9000 mk2 uses pigment inks i don't think this would be a problem with the canvas i have used and if anything should give better results but i thought it's worth a mention

to test the canvas for robustness i printed one about 4 or 5 years ago and left it hanging around letting the kids play with it and it's standing up to the punishment very will with no real signs of wear n tear

Thanks I'll look at the canvas bits. The Mark 2 is still dye. It's the 9500 that's on pigment i think. And from what I've read and seen the 9000 mk2 had front manual loading to print flat?
