Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a Pixma Pro 100 with the current cashback offer.

I can't find out anywhere if this printer, or Canon printers in general, are supplied with cartridges or not? If so, are they full cartridges?

Just wanting to avoid a big hit on cartridges after spending a lot on a printer - for me at least!

Thanks,

Dan

Dan,

Whilst I haven't bought a Pixma Pro 100 I have bought a lot of inkjet printers, including my current Epson 3800.

They have all been supplied with a full set of full cartridges, worth in the case of the 3800 about £400 of the £800 I paid for it. I understand your concern - but I don't think it is warranted. It isn't also like laser printers which are sold at a loss with starter toner cartridges - they are full.

If you are seriously concerned then I suggest you hang on until Monday, and call the place you are looking to purchase from to confirm. But I wouldn't be worried.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reassurance. My last printer purchase was a laser with a starter toner cartridge as you say, so I just wanted some confirmation.

Thanks,

Dan

As Mike said, every printer I've bought comes with a complete set of inks either installed or ready to install.

The last 2 Canon printers I bought (1 for FIL) both came with a set of inks, sealed in plastic ready to install, so would have thought the Pixma Pro 100 would have done...
