Hi guys, wonder if someone can help me with this query please. I recently purchased a new Canon Pixma Pro 100 to replace my elderly Epson R2400 (which got water damaged and broke). Absolutely love everything about the Canon (apart from the size and weight :)), but one thing I am struggling with is wireless printing.

I have two main computers that access this printer, my Desktop Windows 7 PC and my 13" Macbook Pro (MBP). I've installed the printer drivers on both (using standard cable connections via USB), and both work just fine via USB, with stunning output quality. Now whilst it's no problem to leave the Windows PC plugged in via USB, every time I want to print from my MBP, I have to unplug the PC's USB and plug another in, and get the MBP close enough to the printer for the cable to reach, so for this reason I'd like to use the wireless function on the MBP, so that I can if I wish, print from the comfort of my armchair. However try as I might, I can't seem to get the wireless working.

Is it straightforward enough to flip between USB and wireless printing on the fly with a MBP, or when installing the print drivers, do you have to then make the decision which method you want to use and that's it, and if you want to change the connection method have to reinstall again (can't believe this is really the case) ?

As I say, I'm really struggling with this, so any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi Andrew. I replied on the other site you asked the question on.. but for completion...

To be able to print using USB and Wireless you simply have to install the printer twice, once for wireless (ie using the Canon IJ Network) and once for USB. You then simply select which 'printer' you want to use when you print.

Thanks Ian, that might be want i haven't done on the MBP, i think i just installed the USB version of the driver. I'll give it another go. Many thanks.
