Dixons have the Canon Pixma MP499 Wireless Multifunction Inkjet Printer for £39.95 including free delivery.
I needed a printer/scanner/copier just for basic household use and this one seemed to fit the bill. It took a while to initially setup but it all worked first time and adding other PCs was easy. I don't know yet whether it will be expensive to run but I don'[t do much printing. Seems like a bargain.
