hi this is my first post to this site i have just bought a canon 1dmk11n to replace my trusty 10d ,only had it a couple of days when i am carrying it with lens fitted 70-200 2.8 or 300 f4 there seems to be slight movement between the lens and camera mount something i have not noticed with the 10d when you walk holding the camera you can feel it,i returned to the shop where i purchased it ,i tried my lens's on another 1d it is just the same is this something to be concerned about ? or adjustable or normal any help thanks paul

Have you checked it with someone elses lenses fitted ... might be yours causing the problem ...

And ... just in case you don't get around to it in the "Welcome" forum ... :welcome: ... to TP forums Paul ... enjoy

:p

Should be fine so long as the contacts are linking for autofocus and aperture control (obviously).

But you may want to get it checked just to be safe as this may affect the weather sealing on those lenses and that body.

It's pretty normal to feel a slight play - don't worry about it as long as the AF and everything works as Warspite says.

Canon weather resistant lenses have a rubber seal on the back of the lens which presses against the camera lens mount and largely removes that slight feel of 'play' in the lens which is more noticeable with longer lenses anyway.
