Morning folks, I have a quick question to anyone with the tech savvy to help with this.
I have a Canon M80 Media Storage Card Reader that I have been using with CF Cards from the Canon 1Ds MkIII without fail.
I have the latest firmware update (I think, 02.06.03 is the latest).
It works a dream with the CF cards and has never missed a heartbeat.
However, I now have the Fuji X-T1 and my girl has a Canon G15, both of these take SD cards, the M80 has an SD card slot, but...
the M80 does not recognise the SD cards, I put the cards in and the reader states 'No Card in Slot'
Any ideas????
Am I doing something thick or is the M80 just not compatible with the newer cards.

Any ideas folks??

I think you've answered your own question. The M80 is getting on a bit now and the SD cards you have are possibly SDHC which the M80 might not read. Try it with an old SD card and that will give you an idea

Cheers Jim,
I have not looked at media storage for some time now as I have not needed to.
I suspect with the size of the cards available today it has become somewhat redundant.
Two 64gb cards will be cheaper than replacing it and hold more images.

It should cope with SDHC cards but possibly only up to 4Gb according to the online specs. That was plenty when it was introduced but sounds very small now :)
