Is this is old news ?, I have just been browsing the Canon site, and notice from their absence in the listed range that a few lenses must have been discontinued, the 70-200 f4 IS, 70-200 f2.8 IS, 70-300, 24-105 f4 IS and the 70-300 f4-5.6 IS
Probably more, they are just the ones I have noticed missing from the current range.

Sorry if it has already been posted, I did a quick search in the section first.

Never mind Pheeeeewwwww! they have a strange way of listing their products, I navigated from products-lenses, scrolled down to zoom lenses-and if you look in the resulting list they also include IS lenses in that list !!.

What else was I to think!!.

Just well as I would have had a bag full of discontinued lenses:)

I agree.. it took me ages to understand how it works on their site. a pheeeewww was needed cause i just bought 70-200 IS lens :)

if they discontinued them lenses it would only be to bring out new versions i would have thought

have been spending on lenses and cameras non-stop for the last 2 years...it would be a bummer if they started to discountinue staff

Little compared to your bag Bob:), only three:), but I did gasp when looked down the list:D

Who are you kidding, with what you have you will probably never miss it.........unless you have just sold your treasured EF 85mm 1.2.:D

So?

I must be missing something here.

Isn't the sole purpose of your lenses to take pix? Do they suddenly cease working properly when they reach a certain age?
