Whats the difference between the Canon 70-200 f4 L EOS lens Mark 1 and mark 3. Please

Sure you got the right lens names? I can find a 70-200 f2.8 MkIII.

But not a 70-200 f4?

70-200 f4 MkI and MkII is the MkII has around a stop extra in IS and the AF is meant to be a quicker but how much do not know. Both would certainly be quicker than me :)

Not what lens you are comparing as mentioned above.
The mkiii is a great lens, however the mkii is very good value.
Main difference i believe are few extra elements, different motors, metal case is more weather sealed and main one are different coatings on the internal glass.

Thanks to all of you .@knikki I did buy the lens as a f4 but cannot see exactly what it is. At the front of the lens it say's "Canon Zoom lens EF 70-200mm1:4 L IS USM". I see E-infinity and Panamox doo advertise the 70-200mm f4 lens.

Thanks

Canon did a EF 70-200mm f/4, a 70-200mm f/4 IS and a 70-200mm f/4 IS MKII .... There is also a RF version (mirrorless)

You seem to have the MKI IS version of the lens which has built in image stabilisation (excellent lens btw, very sharp even wide open) (y)
