Was browsing the net late last night and managed to come cross this site "Canon lens mug"... Mainly as I was trying to see if anything like this "Nikon lens mug" was available yet for Nikon users....

So for all you Canon users here is your ideal mug..... For us Nikon users this is as close as I could find.."Nikon mug"

I think I have a stainless steel thermos 'Nikon' mug somewhere...quite nice too as I recall...

You get them at certain events...no idea where it is - probably in the basement...

I think I got mine from the Major Accounts manager when he and the tech guys came to give us a chat on the latest gear back in 2007...

I like the flask, really cool!

I know we (or maybe its just me) say "only ever in America" but this has to be the 1st time I wished it wasn't....

Would you say that these are actually done by Canon & if so why hasn't Nikon followed suit.... As I'm sure they would sell, as I know I would certainly have one....

Why do people want to advertise these brands for free?

I don't get it...? Why do you want a mug with a big Nikon ad on it?!?!!

For the same reason we don't want one with Canon on it...lol

Some people cover the logos on their cameras with black tape and use unbranded neckstraps...it's a matter of preference...
Personally I think that's reverse snobbery at it's most 'poseur' level...

Can't see the harm in some 'Gucci Gizzits' though....

Its a mug in the shape of a lens... Just a novelty - Prob a "I want one of those" novelties...

 A gadget for gadget people?

When I saw it I thought "cool" I might order one... They want $88! Must be the most expensive mug on the market! And you would need to be a mug to buy one!

Maybe that's all Canon lenses are good for - Nikon ones are for looking through :D

You must have ripped it out of Major Accounts when he showed up, was he on a desk job in finance??

Nahh...they brought a box of them down, along with baseball hats, polo shirts (with NPS on them) and key-rings and Parker-pens...lol

Good god how sad - some geezer on you tube with one :bang: Spose it does give you a whole new meaning to a Canon mug :whistling:

the "british proof test"?

more importantly what does he think those safety glasses are going to achieve if that badboy snaps

Read up on it - it's actually fascinating stuff - the start of a proper procurement system for the Armed Forces...

:suspect: I've noticed them as well, but some are pre-orders at that...

Spose that Canon will do anything in order to sell their stuff - unlike Nikon :naughty:
