Hi guys and girls,

Noticed theres a lot of old canon FD glass on ebay and wondered how goodd it is with a modern dslr?

I understand you have to buy an adapter to convert the fitting, but are the results still good?

Any feedback would be most appreciated!

It is generally not a good idea to use these lenses on an EOS body as they won't reach infinity focus. In fact, many will be limited to just a few metres of focus. You can buy adapters with glass in to compensate, but these degrade quality and slow the lens (think teleconverter).

You'd be better off buying lenses in the following mounts, which can be adapted without a glass adapter:

Pentax M42
Pentax PK
Olympus OM
Contax/Yashica
Nikon (non-ai, ai or ais)
Tamron Adaptall / Adaptall-2

Quality is not compromised with any of these lens mounts.
