Hi All,
My Canon 1D3 has just started to show what i can only describe as a "shutter" symbol on the back of the main camera menu.

Not surprisingly the shutter isn't doing what it should? Do you know if i am able to fix?... Or do i have to send this back to Canon now :confused:

Could anyone advise pls?

Nah, send to canon iirc mkiii shutter is a circa 200 ish job last I heard of one. Hth.

That's very odd. I've never heard of that before. Can you take a picture of it and post it here?
 
Thanks for your time guys. I couldn't reset this shutter lock feature and although canon suggested clearing the camera settings it wouldn't.
Ended up posting it to Fixation in Kennington, London who in all are charging me £250 (Which i half expected was the going rate) to tell me the components are fine!?!? and working within Canon's standards (so why the huge fee) To adjust the AF and body dimension, clean and service and to advise 1D3 parts are no longer available with them and probably other manufactures who repair cameras also. so probably best i run this camera into the ground or part exchange sooner rather than later (n)
