Canon Error code - battery?

Details : Canon 1d MK2 N
Batteries: Canon

Can an error code appear because of a battery or in my case it seems to be a few batteries have had their day?
Some of them are weak, and on a charge don't last very long.
I have tried them on two bodies (both MK2 N) and it seemed to be the same -I got an error code.
I was flustered at the time as I was on a job while this happened, and didn’t note the error numbers – one battery seemed to save the day.

Should be easy enough to replicate the situation and make a note of the error code and then people may be able to help you more. Is there a troubleshooting guide in the manual? That might tell you what the error codes mean.
