Canon err 01 - recommended lens repairer?

fixation
I found them very helpful, very professional and very polite and well mannered and well spoken.
The diagnosis and quotation on my lens was free but unfortunately was what I cal beyond economical repair, it needed too many expensive parts. So I asked them to return it
It was returned for just the cost of the delivery and actually worked for about 10 mins
before coming up with the dreaded error 01 again
including postage times it was back in less than a week

just ring them and they will give you a rough quote based on common faults
mine was an efs 10-22 that I bought recently but it had had some water damage so needed a bit more that the common fault and upon striping the water had damaged a number of parts
Fixation come highly recommended from many people which is why I used them and I was very happy with the service and professionalism

I've got a quote of approx £150 +vat so that will be wirthit compared to the value of the lens as long as there isn't anything more wrong than they anticipate.

when I phoned a few of the canon authorised repairers the initial quote for the common fault was about the same from them all
I chose fixation purely based on the recommendations I had read on here and their better and more helpful phone manner

I've just sent three lenses from work to Canon Elstree and got a prompt e-mail update two days later saying to speed things up, they'd been passed on to Lehmans....

I didn't realise Lehmans were in Newcastle under Lyme a quick check of their location on google shows them to be as far from me as the post office was that I posted my lens from lol
I'll try Lehmans next time I need a repair
