Looking for some feedback on the above camera.

I am thinking of buying one as my first digital SLR.

Cheers :)

Hi Billy,
Was my first DSLR and it was a great body.
You can pick them up cheep as chips and they really are a great learning camera.

It's not a bad little camera :)

Technology has moved on a lot since then but will still take some decent pictures in reasonable light. As always, much depends on the person using it ;)

If you print any pictures off, it'll be ok up to A4 size, A3 is questionable but it'll be a good first proper DSLR; note you have a bridge camera at the moment.

They are, I still use mine ;) But they are old now so make sure its in good condition and has all the equipment.

Still love mine and use it regularly, I think the image quality compared to the 40D to be honest. You don't have all the features, or the same amount of megapixels etc but the image quality is excellent in my opinion.

Completely agree with Markta. I have been using one for some time now, and upgraded to 450D only yesterday. I have been very pleased with my 350D over the years, but over ISO400, it is a bit noisy. Have a look at the recent shots on my Flickr photostream. Many of these were taken with the 350D and a 400mm/f5.6 lens.

I've read a few review pages on the EOS350d and didn't realise that it is now one of the cameras that is discontinued.

Decided on a complete change of direction and going to go for the Sony Alpha A200 which will give me the same 10 megapixels as my bridge camera.

Will keep you all posted on outcome.

Again thanks for your comments. :)
