Well I've got my Canon EOS 500D with the 18-55mm Kit lens - now I'm after a decent zoom lens. Question is, which one would you recommend? I'm on a budget and can stretch to around the £200 mark.

It'll be used for outdoor daylight shots (pretty much what my old ultrazoom camera was used for) so indoor/low light performance is not that important.

Right, the ones I have on my list are.....

Based on what it's primary use will be (outdoor/daylight), which one would you recommend?

I will second Andy's comment, for the price the Canon 55-250 will take some beating.

I've taken 1000s of shots with a 55-250mm. It's my default lens for wildlife photography and often gives quite spectacular results. At your budget, I doubt you could do better.
