Hi,

Looking to get some bits and bobs for my 350d but I am stuggling to find confirmation that the stuff I am looking at works with the 350.

The two things I have in mind at the moment are:
Remote Switch RS-60E3
and
Canon Eyepiece Extender EP-EX15(might not bother with this)

Thought someone here might know the score :D

Will also be looking at lenses soon too, can anyone recommend a good place to look (as I am not sure what to go for at the moment).

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer :)

EDIT - Oops, posted this in the wrong section :( sorry!

Moved it for you my good man :)

The Remote Switch, I got mine from eBay from a german seller for about £6.
OK It's only an OEM version, (made by ADIDT), as opposed to the official Canon one, but it certainly does the job, and I never really did use it *that* much.
I sold mine when I sold my 350, but I've just bought the equivalent remote again for my 30D, so I can recommend them.
I did do a review I'll dig it out for you in a mo.

The EP-EX15 eyepiece. I have the same one on my 30D, and I did let someone use it on their 350, so it physically fits.
The actual extender is the same size as my eyepiece, so it just makes it look longer, but when on the 350, the 350's eyepiece looks smaller.

As for lenses, what sort of lenses / focal length were you after? (And equally as important, what sort of price range).

I'm not sure if the 350 has the same remote as the 300D, but if it does and you are "happy" to weild a soldering iron then you can make one for about £4.00 with bits from Maplin. I did. Looked a bit heath robbinson, but then did I care... NO:)

You need:
1 x 2.5mm stereo jack
1m 3 core cable (three separate wires)
2 x push to make switches
Some time and a soldering iron.

It's not rocket science to figure out how it works:
.. First switch does the 1/2 contact (middle contact and common)
.. 2nd switch fires the shutter (end contact and common)

Shout if you want more info

Looking at the ADIT review then it is the same.
Dead easy to make :-)
