Has anyone used this lens and what is the quality like. Really want the L glass lens but as there are two cameras in the family is the Canon EF 75-300mm f4/5.6 USM MK3 worth looking at?
 
Cant speak about the 75-300 but the newer 70-300IS is great!

Unfortunately they are very different, even the IS 75-300 is different to the MK3. It's supposedly a resonable lens but quite soft at the 300mm end. It is probably still better than the Sigma though.:)
 
Sorry, I hadn't meant to infer they were similar, although I can see how it could be read that way. What I was meaning was go for the 70-300IS rather than the 75-300 if your budget allows as its far better. I'm very pleased with mine :thumbs:

Maybe should have written that first time round :shrug:
 
Thats ok. I doubt the 70-300 IS is within his budget though, as the 75-300 Mk3 is about £150.
