<dreaming> They'll invent some kind of special glass that allows for f/1.0 - even f/0.75 without any vignetting or chromatic stuff. Oh and entry-level DSLRs will have ISO 12800 with barely noticeable noise. Course, one battery charge will give you 10,000 shots. And CF cards holding a Terabyte will be two a penny. </dreaming>
By that time, we'll all have telepathic powers and thus be able to transfer and store images amongst ourselves which are perfect, unblemished depictions of reality -- no need for glass.

Anyone know if there's ever been a lens faster than f1.0? Someone told me the other day there was an old manual f0.95, can't remember the manufacturer though..
