Hi guys,

I'm looking to possibly purchase the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM, but I've heard barrel distrortion is "worse than expected" from a L series lenes.

Anyone using this glass got any comments?

Cheers Glenn

Its nothing Lightroom cant fix in a click of a button!

16-35 is less distorted than 17-40, and they both can be corrected easily. One becomes more like 17mm, and the other - about 19 ish. mk1 was really distorted though... On the nikon land their 16-35 has horrendous distortion at the wide end, so perhaps the only perfect 17mm is the TSE.

Totally agree with Jaymz. No lens is totally perfect but Lightroom will correct these easily.
