Canon EF 100-400mm - Alternative to OEM hood

I find the OEM hood (ET-83C) for the EF 100-400mm lens awkward to handle and would prefer a petal hood. The hood for my 24-105mm (an EW-83H) sort of fits, but in a cross-threaded kind of way, so I'm still on the lookout for a petal hood that will fit securely.

I've read that the ET-83II fits but can anyone confirm this? I'll happily fit a 3rd party petal hood if it fits ok and looks passable. I'm not into any DIY solutions to go on a lens I shelled out four figures for ...

For the record, these are the hoods mentioned above ...

ET-83C - OEM Hood for 100-400mm

EW-83H - OEM Hood for 24-105mm but which doesn't fit properly

ET-83II - OEM hood for 70-200mm (IIRC)

Use the right hood for your lens,a small petal hood wont do the job
