so its my birthday today and i finally got my Canon e550d and im so impressed makes all pictures look so good!

im just having a problem with the continuous mode it says 3.7 frames a second but it just isn't that fast i have followed the instruction by changing high iso speed noise reduction off changing it to manual focus and changing the image to 4.5 megapixel i have also change ISO 200. it definitely speeded things up but just wouldn't seem to hit 3.7 frames per second

any advice will be great thanks!

It will only reach it's peak if the shutter speed is low and there is a fast memory installed. Probably need to be set to jpeg as well, not RAW.

I have a class 10 memory card so I thought that would do. I'll try changing the shutter speed to see how much faster that makes it cheers

It also depends on the focus.

If its not focused, or the focus point moves (such as on servo mode) it wont fire again until its refocused so the focus speed of the lens can have a massive effect on full burst mode.

i have been taking the shots on manual focus which made it quicker but definelty not 3.7 frames a second

what shutter speed are you shooting at?

It won't reach 3.7 fps at slower shutter speeds.

I've got a 550 as a back up but have never got more than 3fps although I guess its possible. These camera's arn't really built for speed but more for good all round quality.
