Canon CPS Adverts

Had some SPAM for breakfast.. from a camera case manufacturer who asks if i would like to review producst and keep them.. if i have a populor blogg or somehting..

As I own @KIPAX then i can put what i want before the @ so i can follow where emails come from.. this mornings spam was sent to my CPS email address.. I ahve never used it for anyhting else..

So anyone else get the same advert to there cps email... anyone know why a company would have our cps emails?

Gonna get in touch with cps but wondered about anyone else first?

This is interesting. I had a CPS email this morning and, as I no longer have a qualifying camera, I tried to unsubscribe. It said there wasn't a subscription against my email so wouldn't let me unsubscribe. I even copied the address from the email they sent me and pasted that into the website.

There's clearly something iffy going on with the way CPS use their subscribers' email addresses. Maybe they sell the lists - given the value of the qualifying kit, it would be very valuable to potential "advertisers" (read - spammers)..
