Hi
I'm brand new to this forum and it seems a really great place to be.
I have a Canon 600D as my main and only camera apart from my telescope astrophotography set up.
I have seen this lens and wondered woukd it for my camera and if so is it good for taking night images seeing as it a wide and fast lens or is it just for video?
Forgive my complete ignorance on this and hope it's not a silly post.

Cheers

Hi and welcome to TP

AFAIK
The Canon Cine lenses are purpose designed only for use on the Cine Cameras.

Even if there is an adapter available the lens will not 'cover' the 600D sensor.

Short answer IMO is no, it is not suitable.

You need to choose EF or EF-S mount lenses. Various third party makers like Sigma & Tamron also offer their lenses with EF mounts.

Welcome! There’s no such thing as a stupid question (despite my descriptor :p )

Thank you Box Brownie. I thought it wasn't compatible but I hadn't managed to find much info on the lens and thought this is the ideal place to get immediate and sound advice. Thank you again.

Haha. Yep I totally understand, I belong to the stargazers lounge forum and see this many times when someone is new.
Thanks again guys.
