I plan to buy canon 40D with kit lens 17-85 is usm.
Having missed the resent cashback will it be a long time until another cashback offer for this camera?

Also will any cashback be swallowed up by the canon price rise I keep reading about if I delay.

I plan to buy from my local Jessops if they will price match some of the internet sites.

I am hoping to pay under 800 pounds

This is my 1st post so any feedback will be much appreciated
 
I don't think there will be another cashback on the 40D now. I could be completely wrong, but according to traditional Canon release timelines, the successor to the 40D will be announced in Feb? (Or is it September at Photokina).
 
I might be wrong, but i think Canon will be doing the cashback again in November!
