Canon cashback claims

Canon cashback runs out soon, just wondering if anyone has made a successful cashback claim from HDEW or BigNorman? Prices of what I am interested in are already better than (Amazon - cashback), but cashback on top would be the added incentive for me to buy now.
 
Bignorman are based in guernsey and grey import from HK or the USA so definetly won't qualify.
 
Where it says "Please note some of our products DO NOT qualify for UK Cashback.". Not very conclusive, just wondering whether anyone has tried and what the outcome was.
 
I know a woman that is trying to get a repair done under warranty on a 60D and Canon UK are not interested. I think it's going back to HDEW.

That's a surprise, when I spoke to Canon at Elstree about something else and enquired re warranty and they said as long as you have a UK invoice then the body or lens is covered by Canon warranty. As far as I know, HDEW are USA sourced as Ian (Kerso) are and Canon will repair his...

The 60D wasn't outside the 12 month Canon warranty ? I think its HDEW that give the extra warranty if it's optioned ???
 
I haven't spoken to her about the receipt and just presume it was non UK.

You have to ask yourself why Canon honour Kerso's cashback and not HDEW's?

HDWE cameras certainly source some of their cameras from Asia (HK & Singapore).
 
Anything Canon bought by Tuesday 5th from me will qualify for the cashback but hurry!
