Canon canonete film door

Hi, I've got a problem with the film door, it pops open, unfortunately the last time ruined the film in it. It seems that the catches on the camera body are loose, should they be ? When the rewind lever is raised the catches don't always raise with it. Does anyone know if it's fixable? I don't want to bin the camera as its in great condition and I get some great results from it (apart from when the door opens!!)

Anything man made is fixable, it's if it's economically viable to fix that's the real question.

Personally, I'd just gaffa-tape the film door when I was using it, but then i'm a bit of a philistine.

Yep, I think that's the route I'll be taking. It'll cost more to repair than what it's worth.
