In what order would you put the Canon bodies 1d/1ds/5d/7d/50d performance at the high iso ranges?
 
7d/50d/5d/1ds/1d assuming that you don't mean the later versions of 5d/1ds/1d. The more recent the technology, the better the ISO performance. I'll stand corrected, however if people have hands on experience.

I was always under the impression even the 5D MkI was very impressive for low light, high ISO work. Definately more than the 50D and possibly better than the 7D. Again I may just be misunderstanding what I've heard.

Some say the 40D is better than 50D in low light. Just throwing that in there for us 40D owners :D
 
I recently upgraded from the 40D to the 5DmkII and it's street ahead on performance at higher ISO's (the 5dmkII that is)!
