I own a Canon EOS 30D and I use the Canon battery grip BG-E2. I've been looking at a few EOS50d on
E-Bay some with battery grips. I noticed the grips were BG-E2N. What difference does that N make and
is my BG-E2 grip compatible with the later EOS 50D model.

Many people including myself use the cheaper vertical grips..and found them very good.. And they also protect the baseline of your camera ...come with a spare battery for less than an original Nixon battery big bonus ... Mines lasted four years on my old d 5000 and is going strong now my daughter owns it ,

Thanks for confirming that. I bought the Canon grip new with the EOS30D. I'm looking to
maybe upgrade to a EOS50D body so I can use the grip with that model. I've always used
Canon vertical grips, even with my Canon EOS 5 film camera but if the cheaper grips
work just as well why not.
Thanks for your replies.
