Probably considered a throwaway camera today, however its still a useful piece of kit.
But mine has developed a problem , the battery hatch took a hit and it does not fully latch which results in a
" change the batteries warning " however it still persists when i hold the cover closed ?.
So where is the onboard date time battery located , i have looked and cannot see a way in ???. This must be the only answer to the battery message .
My AA,s are new so cannot be them .

Any info appreciated .
 
There could be a small micro switch in there which, a now broken/missing, tab used to activate.

The bay has used parts including the battery door, I found one for £36 so probably more than the camera is worth!??

Hope you can find an economical solution?

PS the camera has an "on board" backup battery that is charged by the main battery i.e. not user changeable.
