Until know have kept with Canon own papers, typically Pro II and Platinum range. Good results, but paper is relatively expensive.
So thought I would try some Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl, good reputation/reports.
My monitor is calibrated (Spyder Pro) and to date the Canon paper prints have been very close.
Downloaded the Ilford profiles and tried a few prints, immediately noticed that they appeared darker, and the whites had a green cast. Re-calibrated etc... same result. Checked with some canon paper, no issues.
Have since trawled the net and tried a suggestion of using canon own profiles SG1. with the Ilford paper.
Great result so far, the whites are white, and the brightness matches the screen as well.
A result, thought I'd share in case anyone else had similar issue.
Regards Neil
