Hi everyone,
A few years ago, I bought a Canon 80D and absolutely loved using it. The camera accompanied me on trips to several countries, including Iceland and Spain, and was a perfect fit for my needs at the time. I had a lot of fun with it!
Unfortunately, during a trip to Portugal, the camera was hit by a few drops of saltwater from a wave (it really was just a few drops! ). Right after that, it started making a strange sound and then completely stopped working. I immediately removed the battery and put the camera in a bag of rice, hoping it would help, but I was never able to bring it back to life.
Since then, I’ve bought a new camera, but now that I finally have some time, I’m wondering what to do with the Canon 80D. Do you think it might still be repairable? And if so, is it even worth (financially) trying to get it repaired?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
