Canon 70-300MM IS USM DSLR Lens which MK?

Dont buy a 75-300 USM IS, thinking you have a bargain. These are the forerunner to the 70-300's and are as soft as teddybears
 
I got a Canon 70-300mm IS from Kerso, was just wondering how I would tell which it is.
 
There is only one 70-300 IS so far.

Buy that one.

oh, as I was reading this..

and it lists 2 70-300mm IS lenses:-
EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM- 2 f-stops
EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS MK II USM- 3 f-stops

and I was hoping that the MK2 is the one I have bought.
 
also isn't there the DO version with the green stripe?

I have this lens but have not heard of a mkII only the do version thats twice the price
