Canon 70-300 second hand price ideas please..?

Not sure where to post this, but I want to sell my 70-300, and have no idea what sort of money to ask. I bought it from Kerso in May, paid £349, and have used it very very rarely.
What sort of price should I ask - It is unmarked etc, but the box has the serial number cut out. It has a Hoya Super UV which was put on as soon as the lens was unpacked.
Any ideas ?

Steve....best current new price for a lens in the UK is £320 and I see one on Ebay at £200 with two days to go.
£250 might be gettable based on that.

I am not looking to get the most money, and it seems that canon stuff goes for almost what it costs, but as I have never sold anything before, I am unsure what to ask.
I forgot to mention, it is the IS f4-f5.6 lens !

Edited: Ignore me, I'm a tit and searched for 75-300!

I think £250 seems much more like it.

£250 would be good, but much less and I would keep it, I think !!
Guess a lesson learned then - don't buy stuff till you really know what it is you want or need !!
I was going on a 70-200 2.8 which recently sold for almost its new price - guess that's in part due to it being a way more desirable lens..
Poo. Looks like I'll not be retiring yet then
 
The price of the new 55-250 IS is coming in at £239 from park cameras so it'll be cheaper elsewhere. If its a half-decent lens the prices of used 70-300 may suffer a bit more.
 
I bought one last year and sold it 3 months later on fleabay
for £325 +p&p :shrug:
 
nearly took it off you myself lol last couple of weeks 70-300 IS have been crap for selling last few weeks £200-300 very few at £300. The Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM is more popular going for nearly same price. Go figure its fleabay. Some strange people think pushing a lens close to retail price is ok.... doh fleabay used to be to get bargains lol
 
Well, you have all got me rather depressed, so I have been out shopping to cheer myself up.
