Speaking to a mate at work this morning, he went to a flea market in Burnley yesterday just as everyone was packing up, see's a guy putting a white lens in a box, turns out to be a 70-200 f2.8 IS, a little battered but appears to be sound, asks the guy how much, give us £20 comes the reply... :eek: :'( :eek:- jammy b****r !!
"The thought crossed my mind is it knock off." He's going to run the serial number just to be sure, if it is legit I'm going to spend all day every day trawling flea markets :lol:

talking of bargain, I went ot our local flea market was looking at lens, came across this 50mm canon, still in its box, asked how much?£10-00 snapped it up,,, wouldn't anybody, now got his number see if he got any more
 
Och..those white lenses arent very good anyway. The best ones are black with a gold ring around them arent they? ;)
I often have a dream that I will find a vintage Fender Stratocaster on the side of the curb at one of those organic rubbish collections but it never eventuates. Maybe I need to go to some of these car boot sales etc!
 
I`ve got a tele deluxe that might just end up on one of those dumps if it keeps playing the wrong notes ! ( it can`t be me it must be the guitar)
 
Got to be stolen ain't it? How did the seller explain where he got it?
 
Thats a steal, and if it turns out to be a load of rubbish, its only £20 gone, win-win!
 
From speaking to my mate he was happy with the bloke he bought the lens off, he's run the serial number through the local cops and it's come up clean - got himself a real bargain......I'm soooo jealous......
 
That is a bargain!!!! The best i've managed was a couple of weeks ago, seeing a high end hi-fi amp sitting on a wall with a sign saying "free to a good home".

Got it home, dusted it, cleaned it...works like new! They're on Ebay at the moment for between £400 and £500 for the same model.

I've never been happier. If I could find lenses like that at flea markets I'd be over the moon.
 
What a bargain :) I'll be checking out my local car boot sales!
 
Tell him it's a flask and offer £15 to ease his disappointment.
