Canon 5D mk2

Hi guys
I Want to use a Canon 1,4x extender Mk2 fitted to a Canon EF 100-400 LS lens, this combination wont work on my Canon 1200d, it refuses to auto focus.

I have the option of a Canon 5D mk2, which i have upgraded the firmware to latest version, unfortunately, this doesnt work either, I have tried the lens combo on a 5D mk 3 and this does work, is there any way to get the mk 2 to auto focus with software or firmware alterations.
I cant afford a mk3

Quiet simply, no and I am not surprised as the 5D3 a while back had a firmware update to allow it to AF @ f8

Such an option is not possible on the 5D2 let alone a 1200D.
