canon 50d

Please can you help, why is my canon50d over exposing. No mater what lens i use if i go above f8 it over exposes totaly burning my photos out. If i put it in sports mode it seems ok (i mainly do motorsport photography)

Go to a creative zone mode e.g. AV then shoot at f5.6 and then f11 (i.e. either side of f8) and post them up so we can get a look see just how bad it is.

i assume you've not got any exposure compensation dialled in?

have you tried doing a hard reset on the camera? (clear all camera settings in the menu) just in case something has been changed in the menu?
