HI I have a Canon 450D as I have always liked photography and I decided I'd try to see if i could improve. I'd like to get into landscape and low light photos so wondering if anyone could advise some decent but not to pricy equipment??

For low light photos on a budget I would recommend a nifty fifty (50mm f1.8).
For landscape photos it gets more expensive (for true super wide angle) but the 18-55is for a standard wide angle (which you probably got with the 450D) is a good lens to get you started.

Tripod! Essential kit for both landscape and low light. Maybe with a remote release too. Other than that, you don't really need anything more than you've got.
There are a multitude of little extras you might find useful, such as ND filters, a polariser, a wide angle lens, a telephoto lens and the list goes on.

Rather than go and splash out money where you may not need to, why not get out and shoot? Once you've found out where your kit is holding you back you can consider buying something to solve it.
