Canon 40D spare battery advice

Hello, I’m sure it has been asked before a million times but the search was bringing up a lot of battery grips and classified adverts…

Anyhoo, I need an extra battery for my Canon 40D before next Monday, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a cheaper, good alternative to the Canon one and a supplier with decent delivery times?

I've used Duracell and Energiser without any issues along with a Jessops own brand in past.

If you need it by next Monday, thats probably going to rule out 7 day shop, poss Play and Amazon (standard del), think you'll need to look at local shops to guarantee you have if for Monday ...

You can pick up really cheap batteries as well - Amazon have some for £4.99, but personally I tend to stay with known names of batteries - hope it helps...

2nd vote for Duracell. I have been using two of these for my 50d (same battery as 40d) for some while and they have been just as good as the original Canon so far.

Duracell DRC511 is as good as the original Canon battery in my 50D, I've got two for my battery grip.

7 day shop unbranded ones are fine - and distinctly cheaper than other alternatives. That said If you only need one specifically for next monday i'd be happy to lend you one (Ive got about ten)
