Canon 40d Question

Recently, I've noticed that when I half press the shutter button to wake the camera I sometimes see 'busy' in the viewfinder.

It's only there for a split second but I can't remember seeing it before.

Is it me.......or is it normal?

It doesn't do a sensor clean if you wake it from standby. Can't say I've ever noticed mine doing this, but I'm struggling to remember a time when I've actually been looking through the viewfinder when I've woke the camera.

No, I notice it more when sitting in a hide and constantly half pressing the shutter. It will do it most times if it's left for a minute or two.

I wondered if it was cold weather and using an 'IS' lens.

Thinking about it, I've probabaly noticed it since it's come back from Canon service.

I had shutter trouble and they fixed it....well, they did second time round as it came back with the same problem first time.
