so the file size at the moment is around 4MB I have WAY too much on my PC to keep loading 4MB files onto my pc, also I can imagine the 2GB card getting full rather quickly since I can only take about 500 shots.. is there anywhere to change the file size on the camera?

also, there is something said about PAL in the formats..?? does this mean I can record video?? if so how??

thanks

You can change the image size of jpgs by going into the menu and select quality - however be careful, as this will reduce the qaulity of your images. Maybe worth using a cd/dvd writer to keep your images on or an external hard drive.

Also play.com sell a 2gb memory card for about £17 so worth chucking a few in your bag when you go out.

Not sure where it mentions PAL, but you cant record video with it.

On the setup menu you ahve a choice on video system of pal or ntsc, i assume (maybe right or wrong) that this is to do with connecting to a TV, does that sounds feasable?

Aye. There will be a cable in the box to connect the camera to a TV to view your shots that way, so there is a PAL/NTSC option to annoy the French and select your TV format.

Complete waste of time though, they will look awful.

Michael.
