Having purchased my 30d a few months ago from Empire Direct, i had a quick look today and found they are doing body only 400d for £389.99 then with £50 cashback that takes it down to an absolute steal!!! £339.99

As some people prefer to handle the goods rather than buy of the tinterweb, you can have it delivered to a store for free and go and pick it up in person (which is what i did)

Finally for £19.99 you get 'extra' membership which gives you a 3 year warrenty on anything you buy thats over £200 for the next 12 months :D
 
I missread that as 40D then :p nearly wet myself!
 
That is a good deal, I paid just shy of £500 for mine (with kit lens) a few months ago with £50 cashback. I think it came out at £439.
 
Think they do the kit for £439.99 then you got cashback off too £389.99
 
Not quite a cheap as warehouse express;) £365 before cashback for a 400D body only...taking it down to £315:eek:

warehouse express beat them on most stuff, but the 19.99 for 3 years extra warranty is good.

Good to see the fallout from the mkIII focussing problems hasn't affected confidence in Canon as a marque then
