Anybody know how to get the number of actuations my 30D has made. Looking at Canon 30D's to get an idea of what mine is worth all the adverts state the actuation count, are people guessing? Does it have to go to Canon? Sorry should have gone in talk equipment. Will move when i work out how, and if its possible.

You need to use a program such as opanda and look at your latest photo you've took using it to find out

Ah take it thats the image number in properties, i never noticed that before

I believe you can only find out from the 40D and upwards, if you find how please let me know.

Hi, I'm obviously missing something here, can you help. I've just uploaded a picture to flickr to see if I can see the activations of my 40D but seem to be missing a trick. I've click photo properties but cannot see an obvious reference.

I think it's from the 30D upwards. I know you can't do it on the 20D but I'm sure I've done it on uor works 30s.
GBR100K, try going FILE > FILE INFO > ADVANCED >HTTP//:NS.ADOBE... in Photoshop and it'll give you an exact image number
Don't know if this applies to PS Elements

Yep, I keep hearing this, I've had a new shutter on mine so it's pretty easy to keep an eye on now.

Didn't know about this file info thing on Photoshop, however it doesn't work on a 30D.
One pic taken in June was image number 21372 and the latest pic in October was 16.
