As the title says the lens lock pin on my 1DX became stuck pitch side tonight. I was able to shoot with the camera but clearly it's not very safe or satisfactory to have the lens unlocked. I've read a few home remedies online which seem to resolve around softly banging with a penny beside the pin till it pops out, I reluctantly tried this without any success.
Anyone else faced this problem. Have to use the camera for a game tomorrow, I'll bring it in for repair straight after the game, but in the meantime does anyone have any ideas of what to try?
Seems to be a common enough problem, so hoping someone here will have faced it before.
