Canon 1d3 - How to replace the memory card door?

Hoping someone can help with this.. Decided to tidy up my 1d3 as the rubber grips were unstuck/worn out in places.. Have managed to do them all easily with one exception, the memory card door rubber... You can only buy the whole door assembly and I cant for the life of me work out how to take it off to replace it.

Has anyone done this and whats involved?
