I have a 18-135mm and canon 7d and ive been facing a weird problem with it lately.
Whenever I change the focus from manual to autofocus or the opposite, the cam doesnt it read the change. On the screen it remains as autofocus even though the lens is on manual. When i click on the shutter button, you hear the mechanics of the cam acting as if its still on autofocus. Have to remove then re-attach the lens for it to be read correctly. I tried other lenses and they are working fine.
Anyone have an idea why this is taking place? And how can it be fixed?
