Hi, just wondering as i have an opportunity to hand how much you guys think a (old i think) 17-35mm f2.8 L lens should be, its not been used for 5 years, was serviced by canon 2 years ago and has some scruffs on the casing. Optics and functionality fully A ok.

Also, might sound daft, but ive read rather different reviews on the net and i know there old now but would i see big difference in quality/sharpenss over my Tamron 17-50 f2.8 NON VC.

Thanks
Andy

Price - check ebay completed auctions

Tamron is crop only lens, Canon is designed for full frame. On crop I don't expect much difference in sharpness, but plenty more saturation and tougher build from Canon.

If you are thinking about FF or 1.3x, this might be a good lens to get.

From what I've seen these make about £500 on here, well the last one did for sure!

Also depends on condition but I guess £500 would be a good one.

Thinking of selling? ;)

Thanks for the replys guys, kinda still all confused to what to do now.

Im not thinking of selling one, as i dont have one. But like i said, i do have the opportunity to buy one in the condition is originally said and the seller said hes looking in the region of £250 - £300 and its on my doorstep pretty much.

Can definatly tell its been used (scruffs on casing etc)

Hmm...

As long as it works well and optics are good sounds like a decent buy...give you £325 for it! LOL
