No
Hi,

just curious - if anyone else has a Canon 16-35mm... and does your lens rattle when you shake it or is it quite solid/ intact. I never shaked the lens before - so don't know if its normal or if there is something loose inside. Sounds like the whole system inside is moving (no small parts moving, etc). Lens seems to function ok.

Thanks

Hmm, mine never rattled but I have heard of the image stabilisation mechanism making a noise when the camera/lens is switched off.

It happens in other lenses when you go full manual from auto focus mode. :P

I note the MK3 version has OIS but not clear if the original has it too?

Just checked, mine doesnt rattle, that said it's not had a lot of use, only take a few shots on it now and again.

Just got two replies from ebay - one that has the v2 said yes and the other seller with a v1 said no. Stilling waiting on a few more replies.

The v1 doesn't have any IS
