Only way to get quality ink is to refill yourself.
Google precision colors, hobbicolors, and ocp ink. Also check the printer forum at www.nifty-stuff.com I use precision colors in my canon pro 9000 and it works well however profiling needs to be done to get the best out of it since no 3rd party ink can totally match the colour gamut of OEM.
I used compatibles all the time.
great value for money but not always reliable....and having had a couple of photo prints on good canon paper in my office for 12 months. faded BADLY
next stop for me IP7250 or something and proper canon carts for my photoprinting.
